Friends of Nolensville Parks Distributes Nearly 300 Trees to Community
Friends of Nolensville Parks (FONP) successfully distributed nearly 300 native trees to local residents as part of its celebration of Tennessee Tree Day, supporting increased tree canopy and environmental stewardship across the community.
The majority of trees were claimed by Nolensville residents at the Nolensville Farmers Market, with strong participation from families and individuals interested in enhancing their properties with native species. The event reflects FONP’s ongoing commitment to strengthening tree canopy, supporting habitat health, and engaging the community in hands-on conservation efforts.
Additional trees were donated to Peacock Hill Nature Center in partnership with Williamson County Parks and Recreation. These trees will be incorporated into public green space, contributing to long-term environmental benefits for visitors and the broader community.
This effort marks an early milestone in FONP’s mission to enhance and preserve Nolensville’s parks and natural areas through community-driven initiatives.
