Bring residential tree limbs and brush, and we’ll chip it onsite, the mulch will help build a public nature trail on NFUMC’s campus. FAQ’s below.

Tree Debris Chipping Event - FAQ
Friends of Nolensville Parks (501(c)(3)) and Nolensville First United Methodist Church are partnering to help our community clean up tree and limb debris from the recent storm, all while creating mulch for a future public nature trail!
What is this event?
A community drop-off event where residents can bring tree limbs and storm debris to be chipped on site. The chipped material will be reused for future park and trail improvements in Nolensville.

February 20–21
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Nolensville First United Methodist Church (designated drop-off area)
Please plan to arrive during posted hours only.Who can participate?
This event is intended for residential property storm cleanup. Please no commercial landscaping or contractor loads.
What CAN I bring?
• Tree limbs and branches
• Brush from storm damage
• Organic tree debris
If it grew from a tree or shrub, it’s likely acceptable.What CANNOT be brought?
• Construction debris or lumber
• Pressure-treated wood
• Pallets, fencing, or trash
• Metal, nails, wire, or mixed materials
• Dirt, stumps, or root balls
Loads that contain prohibited materials may be turned away.Is there a cost?
There is no required fee to participate.
Donations are welcome and will go to future park projects. Donations can be made on site or at our website.Do I need to unload my own vehicle?
Yes — participants should plan to unload their own debris unless directed otherwise by volunteers.
For safety, only trained operators may work directly around the chipper.How do I get my debris to the church?
We have partnered with the following landscaping and hauling companies that have agreed to pick up debris and bring them to the location for a fee. Reach out to them to schedule and they will donate portion of proceeds to Friends of Nolensville Parks.

Can I bring children or pets?
For safety reasons, please keep children and pets inside vehicles and away from equipment areas.
What happens to the mulch?
All chipped material will be saved and reused to help build a public nature trail behind Nolensville United Methodist, turning storm cleanup into something lasting for the community.
